CRYSTAL WATER POOL SERVICES
A Subsidiary of Johnson Seasonal Services

POOL OPENING SERVICE DISCLOSURE

PURPOSE OF SERVICE

Crystal Water Pool Services provides seasonal pool opening services designed to return a winterized pool and its accessible equipment to operational status for the swimming season.

Pool opening service is intended to reactivate pool equipment, remove winterization components, and prepare the pool for normal operation. Pool opening service is not intended to guarantee immediate swimming conditions, water clarity, equipment performance, or water quality.

Pool opening service is a non-itemized seasonal service package. Services are performed as a complete opening package, and individual tasks are not sold or billed separately.

SCOPE OF SERVICE

Pool opening services may include, when applicable:

• Removing the pool cover
• Folding and storing the pool cover and cover accessories
• Removing winterizing plugs, Gizzmos, and winterization devices
• Reassembling accessible pumps, filters, heaters, chlorinators, and related equipment
• Reinstalling ladders, handrails, and removable accessories
• Starting pool equipment
• Lighting and testing the pool heater when applicable
• Brushing pool walls, floors, steps, and accessible surfaces
• Basic water testing
• Chemical recommendations
• Adding chemicals when authorized by the customer

Services performed may vary based upon pool type, equipment configuration, weather conditions, accessibility, site conditions, and the condition of existing equipment.

POOL CLEANING NOT INCLUDED

Pool opening service does not include pool cleaning unless specifically requested, quoted, and scheduled in advance.

Opening service includes basic brushing only. Vacuuming, debris removal, leaf removal, algae treatment, stain removal, Green-to-Clean restoration, extensive cleaning, and corrective treatments are not included in standard opening pricing.

Pools containing excessive debris, algae, contamination, staining, foul odors, cloudy water, or other abnormal conditions may require separately quoted cleaning, restoration, or Green-to-Clean services.

WATER CONDITION DISCLAIMER

The condition of pool water at the time of opening is influenced by numerous factors beyond the scope of the opening service, including:

• Water chemistry at the time of closing
• Whether the pool was properly cleaned before closing
• Weather conditions during the off-season
• Cover condition and effectiveness
• Water loss or water intrusion
• Algae growth
• Organic contamination
• Debris accumulation
• Wildlife activity
• Equipment failures
• Customer actions or omissions

Crystal Water Pool Services makes no guarantee regarding water clarity, sanitation levels, algae-free conditions, staining, odors, contamination, or overall water quality at the time of opening.

GREEN-TO-CLEAN AND RESTORATION SERVICES

Pool opening service is intended for pools that are in reasonably normal condition following winterization.

Pools that are green, cloudy, discolored, foul-smelling, algae-infested, contaminated, contain excessive debris, or are otherwise unsuitable for swimming may require separately quoted Green-to-Clean restoration services.

Green-to-Clean services, algae remediation, pool restoration, swamp recoveries, and corrective treatments are not included in standard opening pricing.

POOL STEPS, LADDERS, AND ENTRY SYSTEMS

When a pool is determined to be green, cloudy, contaminated, algae-infested, foul-smelling, or otherwise unsuitable for swimming, Crystal Water Pool Services may delay installation of removable steps, ladders, and entry systems until the pool reaches a reasonably clean and swimmable condition.

Installing such items prematurely may create areas where algae, bacteria, and contaminants become trapped, potentially slowing restoration efforts and increasing treatment costs.

Installation of these items at a later date may require a separate service visit and additional charges.

CHEMICALS AND WATER BALANCING

Unless otherwise stated in writing, all chemicals, specialty treatments, sanitizers, stabilizers, salt, shock products, algaecides, phosphate removers, clarifiers, disposal fees, and related materials are the responsibility of the customer and are billed separately.

Water balancing is a process rather than a single adjustment. Crystal Water Pool Services cannot guarantee immediate water clarity or ideal water chemistry following opening service.

Additional visits, testing, chemicals, and corrective treatments may be necessary before the pool reaches normal swimming condition.

PRE-EXISTING EQUIPMENT CONDITION

Pool opening service is not a comprehensive equipment inspection.

Crystal Water Pool Services does not disassemble, internally inspect, pressure test, or evaluate the internal condition of pumps, filters, heaters, automation systems, sanitization equipment, valves, underground plumbing, electrical systems, or other pool components as part of standard opening service.

Equipment failures, leaks, cracked plumbing, damaged components, electrical issues, freeze damage, corrosion, worn seals, deteriorated gaskets, hidden defects, or other problems may become apparent only after equipment is returned to operation.

The discovery of such conditions during or after opening shall not be presumed to have resulted from the opening service itself.

OPENING SERVICE IS NOT AN INSPECTION

Pool opening service is intended to place the pool into operation and is not a comprehensive inspection of the pool, equipment, plumbing, electrical systems, structural components, safety systems, or code compliance.

Conditions not readily visible during the opening process may remain undiscovered until normal pool operation resumes.

The absence of visible issues during opening service shall not be interpreted as confirmation that all pool systems, equipment, plumbing, electrical components, or structural elements are functioning properly.

LEAKS, WATER LOSS, AND HIDDEN CONDITIONS

Pool opening service does not include leak detection, pressure testing, plumbing inspections, structural inspections, or diagnosis of hidden defects.

Crystal Water Pool Services is not responsible for water loss, plumbing leaks, structural defects, underground line failures, or other conditions that were not visible or discoverable at the time of service.

OPENING SCHEDULE AND SEASONAL DEMAND

Pool opening services are seasonal in nature and are scheduled based upon route efficiency, technician availability, weather conditions, operational considerations, and overall seasonal demand.

While Crystal Water Pool Services makes every reasonable effort to accommodate customer preferences, specific opening dates and times cannot be guaranteed unless otherwise agreed to in writing.

Customers acknowledge that opening schedules are established to maximize efficiency and service availability across all customers. Requests for specific dates, expedited scheduling, priority scheduling, or off-route service may be subject to additional charges, availability limitations, or scheduling restrictions.

The desire to use the pool by a particular date does not guarantee that an opening appointment will be available on or before that date. Customers are encouraged to schedule opening services as early as possible to improve scheduling flexibility during peak spring demand periods.

Weather conditions, late-season freezes, excessive rainfall, unsafe working conditions, staffing limitations, equipment availability, and other circumstances beyond Crystal Water Pool Services' reasonable control may affect scheduling and service timing.

WEATHER, SAFETY, AND SCHEDULING CONTINGENCIES

Pool opening services are dependent upon weather conditions, safe working conditions, and access to the pool and equipment.

Crystal Water Pool Services reserves the right to postpone, reschedule, delay, shorten, or suspend service due to adverse weather conditions or unsafe working environments.

Weather-related delays may affect scheduling and service timing. Service will be rescheduled at the earliest reasonable opportunity based upon technician availability, route scheduling, weather conditions, and operational considerations.

CUSTOMER AVAILABILITY AND SERVICE AUTHORIZATION

The customer is not required to be present during service unless otherwise requested.

By scheduling service and providing access to the property, the customer authorizes Crystal Water Pool Services to perform the opening procedures deemed appropriate based upon the pool configuration, equipment layout, site conditions, and conditions observed at the time of service.

POOL WATER LEVEL REQUIREMENT

The customer is responsible for maintaining a proper water level prior to the scheduled opening appointment.

Crystal Water Pool Services may be unable to start equipment, test circulation systems, verify heater operation, or complete certain opening procedures if the water level is insufficient.

Additional service visits required due to improper water levels may be billed separately.

UTILITY AND POWER REQUIREMENTS

Pool opening service assumes that electrical service, gas service, automation systems, and related utilities are operational and available at the time of service.

Crystal Water Pool Services is not responsible for delays, incomplete startups, or equipment testing limitations resulting from unavailable utilities, disconnected services, power outages, tripped breakers, locked equipment areas, unavailable gas service, or utility-related issues.

POOL COVER REMOVAL AND STORAGE

Pool covers, water bags, straps, springs, anchors, and related accessories will be removed and stored on the customer's property at a location deemed reasonably suitable by Crystal Water Pool Services.

Crystal Water Pool Services is not responsible for damage, deterioration, weather exposure, animal activity, theft, vandalism, or other conditions affecting stored cover materials after service has been completed.

SERVICE DOCUMENTATION

Crystal Water Pool Services reserves the right to photograph pool conditions, equipment, plumbing components, water conditions, pool covers, and related areas before, during, and after service for documentation, quality control, training, insurance, warranty administration, and dispute resolution purposes.
